To add a second voltage display you will need to click on the button (Add new y-axis to slope display). Create a Scope display that shows the applied (output) voltage VA (Output Voltage, Ch01) and the resistance voltage VR (Voltage, ChA) vs. Make sure the red plug corresponds to the “hot” side of the circuit. Attach the voltage sensor across the resistor. The hot (red) plug should connect with proper polarity as illustrated below.ģ. For the voltage source, connect the RLC circuit to the hot and ground Output 1 jacks on the interface box. Use two banana plug leads to create the following circuit using the RLC circuit board. Click on Output 1 and choose Output Voltage-Current Sensor. Run PASCO Capstone and configure the software so it knows a voltage sensor is in Channel A. Plug the voltage sensor into Analog Channel A. Acquire a voltage sensor and an RLC circuit. Objective: To study resonance in an RLC circuit by examining the current through the circuit as a function of the frequency of the applied voltage.
